Apparitions

I really have been writing something that isn't silly for the past two days, but it's just not finished yet. It will be soon. In the meantime, I know that you are probably all familiar with the "nun bun," the danish that looks like Mother Teresa. And there's always some article or another about Mary appearing in the window of a bank building in Clearwater, FL, or somebody seeing Jesus in their screen door. but at our house, this is what we get.

  1. That's just...sooo beautiful. It's getting me all choked up. I certainly hope you haven't disturbed it (he said suspiciously)>

  5. Well, she does usually take on the appearance of those to whom she appears, but I suppose that in this case, we are not the intended recipients of the message--unless, Josh, you are a duck, which, of course, I don't know for sure.

  6. Or perhaps you are related to the Secretary of Homeland Security, but that's just scary.

    1. I am neither a duck nor a bro to Big Sis. (Which would be worse?) Neither am I apparently fluent in Spanish. I suppose "Our Lady of the Neapolitan" in Spanish should have included "de la" or something.
I probably need to spend a few meditative hours staring at this image, but all I see is a duck ... penitentially looking back over his ducky shoulder at a life of sin and spiritual quackery, repeating the confit-eor in his anatine soul.

    2. Poor duck. That sounds distinctly painful. He needs to turn around and duc in altum.
